Through April 6th to May 4th
LOT F GALLERY
After the successful debut of “Brother From Another Mother” at Lot F Gallery in 2011, Boston-based artists Dana Woulfe and Kenji Nakayama are back with a follow-up, joint exhibition this April. Brother From Another Mother Pt. 2, opens on Friday, April 6th and will feature the duo's recent collaborative and solo paintings. The artists, who are studio mates at South Boston's Distillery artists complex, are also members of the artist collaborative, Project SF. MOM & POPism (updated on 8/22/11)
Description(Amazon)
New York City store fronts have never looked better. Photographers James
and Karla Murray reinterpret the shops from their bestselling book
Store Front - The Disappearing Face of New York with the help of top
street and graffiti artists. These time-worn institutions were
reproduced at close to life-size scale and then painted over by artists
such as Blanco, Lady Pink, Zoltron, Dave Cooper and Billi Kid during an
art installation presented by Gawker Artists on the Gawker Media roof,
with the NYC skyline as its backdrop. This unique exhibition has been
immortalized in the form of a playful accordion-fold board book that can
be arranged to display a unique street view display of store fronts.
The book documents the completed artwork, but also includes interviews
with the artists and a fascinating look at the works in progress. In
addition, the Murrays share the story behind the massive project and
explain their concept. Mom & Popism is the perfect souvenir of NYC.
This Book is also available through Amazon |

Urban AdvenTours Truck(updated on 6/28/11)
If you are in Boston, I'm sure some of you may bump into this truck in the City, but if not, Dana has some photos of our painting process(from the beginning to the end) and also some detail shots on his website, and you can at least have better idea about what the truck looks like after we painted.
The truck is all hand painted, no vinyl used.
